Catering

The catering service of the hotel will contribute to the success of any kind of social or corporate function through excellent quality catering facilities and a dedicated professional staff, be that a simple coffee break, buffet reception, cocktail party, or gala dinner. On the premises of Kölcsey Convention Centre, the exclusive catering rights are exercised by Debreceni Gyógyfürdő Kft., the official operator of Hotel Lycium. Hotel Lycium

From the premises of the convention centre, you can walk straight to the adjoining four-star hotel, Hotel Lycium, under the same roof. The hotel offers 88 air-conditioned double rooms and 4 suites – accommodation for 192 guests altogether. Your room in the hotel will feature a bathroom with a shower, a television set with satellite and movie channels, internet access, a room safe for storing valuables, a minibar, a telephone, and a special interior patio. Parking

The convention centre is situated above a parking garage of 9000 square meters area and 300 parking spaces. You can enter the parking garage from the direction of the streets called Bethlen utca and Füvészkert utca. After parking your vehicle downstairs, you can walk to any part of the building complex without having to step outside and rest assured that you are parked safe, indoors, and in a central location within the city. The parking garage is operated by Debreceni Közlekedési Vállalat [Debrecen Traffic Corporation] and you can use it for HUF 150 per hour. MODEM

The acronym MODEM stands for Modern és Kortárs Művészeti Központ [Centre for Modern and Contemporary Art], an institution located in the building complex of Kölcsey Convention Centre, in the historical downtown area of Debrecen. The building comprises a total area of 4650 square meters on three floors, out of which 3000 square meters can be used for exhibition purposes. The second floor accommodates the largest contiguous exhibition hall in the nation, an area of more than 1300 square meters filled with numerous masterpieces of modern and contemporary fine arts. Besides the art exhibitions, there are regular partner art programs, such as lectures on art history and philosophy, literary evenings, and museum-pedagogical classes held here. The exhibitions are open to the general public from 10 am to 6 pm daily, with the exception of Mondays (closed) and Thursdays (from 4 pm to 12 pm). www.modemart.hu
